USA National and Student Exhibit – BUILD, pt. 5, light.
The final process in January was to add light to the National exhibit. Aaron, Carrie and I had quite the project ahead of us as we were the electricians for the National exhibit. We were using 60 small LED fixtures, 8 of which were color changing fixtures and then the rest would light the exhibit itself and the items the exhibit is showcasing.
USA National and Student Exhibit – BUILD, pt. 4, constructing a cloud.
Alright, so we have the platforms for the floor and the staircase built. Now it’s time to build the cloud of conduit pipe and gooseneck cable together around the staircase. Paul and Brad continued to research different ways to create the curly q’s and spiraled metal. We were glad to have the minds of Paul and Brad on the team to figure this out, as we knew it was not an easy task.
USA National and Student Exhibit – BUILD, pt. 2, lockers and lots of color.
Sandy took Katie and Aaron on the hour long drive to pick up the lockers for the student exhibit. The lockers came from a warehouse outside of Indianapolis, and it was a bit funny to see the lockers all lined up.
USA National and Student Exhibit – BUILD, pt. 1, staircase.
Klara’s cloud of curly q’s and spiralled conduit couldn’t start to take shape until we had a spiral staircase constructed. The staircase is at the center of the National exhibit and we knew it would help determine the overall shape of the cloud.
